  1.     The Rules of Klondike

  4. Klondike is the traditional patience game and is
  5. played using only one set of cards. We have four
  6. stacks and seven slots. Initially, the first slot has
  7. one card on it, the second one two, and thus
  8. continuing up to the seventh slot, which gets seven
  9. cards.  Of these cards, only the topmost card is
  10. turned face-up.  Klondike introduces another type of
  11. pile: There is a second deck which holds face-up
  12. cards. Every time you request dealing of new cards,
  13. these cards are moved onto the open deck pile.  You
  14. can move cards from this pile to the slots or to the
  15. stacks, but you never can move cards back to the open
  16. deck.  The rules which card may be grouped together
  17. are similar to the rules for the Gypsy game. The
  18. only difference is that you may only move a king onto
  19. an empty slot.

  21. Once all cards are dealt, you can flip all the cards
  22. of the open deck back onto the other deck and
  23. continue. You can flip the deck up to three times.
